Attorney Eugene J. Martinez has over 40 years of professional experience in criminal law. He studied at the University of California at Berkeley, and graduated from Stanford University Law School. He has overseen several hundred jury trials to verdict, and served as both a Deputy District Attorney from 1982 to 1986. As a former Deputy District Attorney he has prosecuted misdemeanors to major felonies. As an Assistant District Attorney from 1986 to 1990 he supervised criminal prosecution, tried felony cases, and was instrumental in starting a criminal sexual assault unit before opening Martinez & Associates Law Office in 1991.
In private practice, Eugene J. Martinez is State Bar Certified as a Criminal Law Specialist, and has represented adults and juveniles accused of misdemeanors and felonies. Cases include drunk driving, assault, sexual assault, homicide, embezzlement, and expungements.
